Pay starts at $18.00 an hour.

We are looking for someone to work with a young man in an industrial setting who needs support in the workplace.

The ideal candidate will also be fun, high-energy, and dedicated to accompanying our individuals outside of the workplace during the day. Work hours are between 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday. You would work roughly 35 hours during that time.

We spend 100% of our days in the community. This position is for our Davis County program. In addition to workplace job coaching, we also supervise clients on trips to museums, the movie theatre, trips to the pool/swimming, taking small hikes, trips to the zoo, rides on Frontrunner, and more. Staff teach clients life skills and assist them in meaningful interactions in the community.

Responsibilities

Staff will be responsible for the supervision of young adults. Safety is always our #1 priority. Part of the job is picking up individuals and transporting them to and from activities. The most crucial part of the job is positive interaction with all of the clients in the program.

• Ability to safely and comfortably transport 1-3 clients in your own vehicle
• Assist clients with daily living activities such as communication, safety and awareness, personal care needs, social activities, etc
• Contribute to developing essential life skills and fostering a culture of independence for our clients
• Recognize and respond to changes in clients’ health, behavior, or well-being
• Implement individualized care plans, behavior support plans, and life skills training
• Maintain accurate records of client activities, progress, goal tracking, and attendance
• Maintain a fun, healthy, and comfortable living environment

Qualifications

• 20 Years or Older
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check
• Must be able to obtain First Aid and CPR Certification within 30 days
• Must have a valid Drivers License and clean driving record
• Must have reliable transportation
• Experience helpful but not required
