Creative Spaces Remodeling is Hiring a Field Project Manager- Residential Design Build Near Annapolis, MD

Creative Spaces Remodeling is a luxury Design-Build Remodeling firm located in Annapolis, MD. We are looking for a positive, professional, and detail-oriented Field Project Manager to join our growing team. This role reports to the Production Manager of Creative Spaces Remodeling.

Job Summary:

The Field Project Manager role is responsible for planning and overseeing a wide variety of construction projects from beginning to end. The ideal candidate must be highly organized, tenacious about meeting deadlines, and capable of keeping projects within budget. But most importantly, Field Project Managers must be HUNGRY to exceed the needs and expectations of each client.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • General knowledge of residential remodeling and new construction, such as but not limited to:
  • Framing, Trim, Cabinetry, Foundation, Excavation, Landscaping, Hardscaping, Electric, Plumbing, Mechanical, Millwork, Cabinetry, Windows, Doors, Insulations, Masonry, Concrete, Drainage Systems, Security Systems, Sprinkler Systems, Flooring, and Tile.
  • Safety regulations & building codes
  • Manage all Trade Contractors on assigned jobs. This includes holding Trade Contractors accountable to their Schedules, Contracts, Change Orders, and Scopes of work.
  • Manage job sites and projects from beginning to end; ensure each work area is clean, and safe, abides by applicable codes and regulations, and each project is running efficiently and profitably.
  • Review and understand all architectural drawings and specifications.
  • Translate and communicate construction plans, drawings, and specifications to clients and trades.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
  • Determine the necessary equipment, materials, and manpower needed.
  • Ensure supplies and equipment are ordered and delivered according to schedule to ensure on-time completion.
  • Keep all stakeholders aware of the progress on projects and prepare progress reports regularly. This includes daily communication with clients regarding schedule, change orders, selections, and client satisfaction.
  • Create raving fans through the client-service process by providing clear, timely and thorough communication.
  • Resolve service (trade contractor), supplier, or installation problems by clarifying the client's complaint; determining the cause of the problem; selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the problem; expediting correction or adjustment; following up to ensure complete resolution.
  • Use all assigned tools correctly and safely. Tools may include but are not limited to: smartphone, measuring tape, torpedo, 2, 4, and 6 ft levels, pliers, tin snips, chisels, screwdrivers, crowbars, utility knife, drywall saw, nail punch, chalk box, hammer, speed square, clipboard, framing square, shop vac, extension cords, battery screw gun and drill, skill saw, mechanics tool set, assorted fasteners, drop cloth, broom, dust pan, blue tape, and caution tape.
  • Schedule and host weekly client meetings.
  • Attend weekly production/project meetings.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Building Science, Engineering, Constructions Management or related field preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of construction management experience preferred.
  • BuilderTrend software knowledge preferred.
  • Design Build Experience preferred
  • PMP or an equivalent certification would be considered an asset.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift/move up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities, as well as applicable job sites.

  • Commensurate with experience
