At Rexpointe, a pet care technician is not required to handle clients, cashier, answer phones, book appointments, bathe/groom dogs- your job will revolve around pet care and activities. We have different staff for all areas of the business and do not expect you to run front and back all by yourself!

Our kennel is located on 7 acres of property. Playtimes, walks and activities are done outdoors unless severe weather. Get out and enjoy the fresh air with a happy pup by your side! Dogs go OUTSIDE for exercise, playtimes and elimination breaks.

Pet Care Technician duties include(but not limited to):

• Walking dogs thru our wooded walking trails
• Playing with dogs one on one off leash in our large play yards - can also be snuggle sessions with cute puppies and lap dogs :)
• Monitoring dogs in small group settings- we match up 4-6 dogs of same size and temperament in a group with 2 staff members monitoring at all times.
• Feeding and medicating boarding pets per pet owners instructions
• Caring for cats
• Daily cleaning of kennels, disinfecting, sweeping, mopping, laundry, dishes
• Must be able to walk/stand/crouch for majority of shift.
• Lift up to 50 lbs (example: bag of dog food)
• Handle large breed dogs up to 100lbs on a leash (we get A LOT of large breed dogs!)

Our kennel is open 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Typical morning shift is 7:30am-3pm, and the afternoon Shift is 3p - 9pm. Alternative schedules can sometimes can be accommodated. We are primarily looking for morning shift at this time.

*Must be available to work weekends and holidays, the pet boarding industry is busiest during these periods.*

Starting pay is dependent on experience and availability.
