Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Fire Alarm/Low Voltage Technician to join our team. As an Fire Alarm/Low Voltage Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing alarm systems in residential and commercial settings. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.

Responsibilities:

- Install, program, and troubleshoot alarm systems, including fire alarms, security alarms, and other detection systems

- Conduct site surveys to determine the best locations for alarm system installation

- Perform system testing to ensure proper functionality and compliance with safety regulations

- Repair or replace faulty components or wiring in alarm systems

- Provide technical support to customers regarding alarm system operation and maintenance

- Collaborate with team members to design and implement customized alarm solutions for clients

- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, including service reports and inventory records

-Crosstraining into other low voltage modalities including, intercom, cameras, access control, and data communications.

Requirements:

- Previous experience as a Fire Alarm Technician or similar role

- Strong knowledge of fire alarm systems, alarm system, fire code, schematics, and field service

- Familiarity with NEC (National Electrical Code) regulations pertaining to alarm systems

- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members

- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
