Woodside Development is Hiring a Facilities Maintenance Technician Near Aiken, SC

Job Summary: The Facilities Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing various maintenance tasks, including carpentry, electrical work, plumbing, and painting. The ideal candidate will have experience in industrial maintenance, possess the necessary skills and credentials, and demonstrate a commitment to accuracy, professionalism, and safety.

Specific Job Responsibilities:

  • Follow work order procedures and assist with the installation of equipment or items as required.
  • Perform and maintain preventative and predictive maintenance tasks, logging all maintenance calls, repairs, and related supplies.
  • Work off ladders both indoors and outdoors, in all weather conditions, to repair or replace light bulbs, fixtures, electrical switches, or other maintenance issues.
  • Independently scrape, patch, caulk, and paint interior and exterior walls, floors, trim, and ceilings, using appropriate tools and techniques to ensure safety and protect equipment.
  • Assess tasks accurately, measure, cut, and install wallboard, siding, fencing, insulation, or other building materials as needed.
  • Inspect plumbing fixtures for repair or replacement, respond to leaks or floods, and make repairs to supply and drain lines.
  • Utilize personal cell phone for communication with team members and to take photos of items or situations requiring reporting to the Facilities Manager or VP of Operations.

Position Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Willingness to undergo a background check.
  • Own a vehicle, preferably a truck, with insurance.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Ability to dress and work appropriately when in tenant or client offices or facilities.
  • Must have own tools and vehicle to transport materials, ladders, and pick up supplies as needed.
  • Attention to detail, excellent verbal and written communication skills, proactive attitude, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to lift up to 40lbs, with the flexibility to bend, stoop, and crawl as necessary.
