Job Overview:We are seeking a reliable and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Part-Time Doorman/Security for our bustling bar/tavern. The ideal candidate will ensure the safety and security of our patrons and staff while providing excellent customer service. This position is for two nights a week, typically during peak business hours.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure Safety: Maintain a safe and secure environment for patrons and staff by monitoring entrances and exits, checking IDs, and enforcing age restrictions.
• Customer Service: Greet guests in a friendly and welcoming manner, assist with seating arrangements, and address any customer inquiries or concerns professionally.
• Crowd Control: Manage crowd flow during busy periods, particularly on weekends or special events, to prevent overcrowding and maintain order.
• Handle Incidents: Respond promptly and appropriately to any incidents or disturbances, including diffusing conflicts and contacting authorities if necessary.
• Monitor Premises: Keep a watchful eye on the premises, including outdoor areas such as patios or smoking sections, to prevent unauthorized access or activities.
• Enforce Policies: Ensure that all patrons adhere to the establishment's policies and rules, including dress codes and behavior standards.
• Assist Staff: Support bartenders and waitstaff as needed, such as helping with clearing tables or assisting with customer requests.
• Maintain Cleanliness: Help keep the entrance area clean and organized, including managing any lines or queues effectively.
• Report Incidents: Document any incidents, accidents, or disturbances accurately and report them to management as required.

Requirements:

• Prior experience in a similar role, preferably in a bar or nightclub environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
• Strong conflict resolution skills.
• Physical fitness and the ability to stand for extended periods.
• Familiarity with local alcohol laws and regulations.
• Availability to work two nights a week, including weekends and holidays as needed.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:

• First aid/CPR certification is a plus
• Training in security procedures or crowd management.
