Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate Personal Care Assistant to provide essential daily living assistance to our residents. The ideal candidate will have experience in assisted living and patient care, ensuring the well-being and comfort of those under their care.
Duties:
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare providers
- Prepare and serve meals tailored to residents' dietary needs
- Monitor and record vital signs to track residents' health status
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents
- Ensure residents' rights are respected and upheld at all times
- Assist with hospice care for terminally ill residents
- Perform dementia care tasks with patience and empathy
Experience:
- Prior experience in assisted living or similar healthcare setting preferred
- Proficiency in driving for resident transportation needs
- Knowledge of meal preparation techniques for various dietary requirements
- Familiarity with medication administration protocols
- Understanding of resident rights and privacy regulations
- Experience in hospice care is a plus
- Ability to handle ADLs efficiently and respectfully
- Knowledge of dementia care practices
- Competency in monitoring and recording vital signs
