Magnetic Analysis Corporation is Hiring a Test Technician Near Elmsford, NY

Summary:
We are looking for an electronics technician to set up, test, and repair electronic equipment and PCBs (Printed Circuit Boards). This role requires hands-on experience using hand tools, test equipment and software tools to calibrate electronics based on IBM compatible computer chassis. To succeed in this position, you should be able to comprehend and follow manufacturing SOPs and PCB electrical drawings or schematics. If you have strong problem-solving skills, an eye for detail, and good manual dexterity, we’d love to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up and test electronics tester based on IBM compatible computer chassis.
  • Repair malfunctions in electronics tester and PCBs.
  • Assemble and test PCBs.
  • Read and comprehend SOPs and circuit drawings.
  • Maintain logs that provide details of repairs.
  • Must be able to diagnose, repair and test product problems as they received.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as an electronics technician.
  • Strong hands-on experience with electronic testing and circuitry.
  • Previous experience as troubleshooter down to component level.
  • Very good soldering skills. Proficient computer skills.
  • Familiarity working with test equipment such as scopes, signal generators, multimeters.
  • Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or other related field preferred.
  • Physical fitness to perform tasks such as lifting, bending, and operating material handling equipment safely.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
