Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment by performing the following duties.

20 px **Primary Responsibilities:**

* Compares identifying information on incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records

* Enters data such as serial numbers, model numbers and quantities into ERP and shipping systems or manually on required forms. Researches to reconcile discrepancies

* Performs checkout procedures on returned meters

* Initializes new equipment

* Responds to internal and external customer and dealer inquiries related to Shipping and Receiving on the telephone, and through fax or Email

* Picks equipment, accessories, parts, literature and supplies for orders

* Assembles cartons and packs orders for secure shipment

* Posts weights and shipping charges, and affixes postage and labels per order requirements

* Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages

* Delivers incoming packages to mailroom or specific departments

* Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies. Assists with inventory control duties

* Operates tier lift truck or uses hand truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage or work area. Moves inventory within the warehouse per organizational plan

* Breaks down used cartons and maintains organized, clean, and safe warehouse environment

20 px **Qualifications:**

High School Diploma or equivalent, 2 or more years of work experience involving computer look-up/entry in a warehouse environment, forklift certification a plus.

20 px **Competencies:**

* Detail oriented

* Ability to solve problems and correct data entry errors

* Strong communication skills

* Dependability - punctual and able to work extra hours as needed

* High energy and positive attitude

* Team player - willing to help others as needed

* Ability to lift packages up to 60 lbs.

20 px **Computer Skills:**

Accurate and fast alpha-numeric keyboarding abilities, knowledge of E-Mail and Microsoft Applications, experience entering transactions and looking up information in a mainframe and warehousing system.
