New Generation Daycare is Hiring a Child Care Center Director In Training Near Norfolk, VA

Our organization is looking for an experienced Director or Assistant Director to come on board as a Director-In Training. This addition will create and maintain educational goals for the center. A person who will maintain a positive environment for our families and staff while pushing for excellence. The Director-in-Training will be responsible for making certain that all staffing goals are met, all staff members are properly certified and that each of our programs meets all government guidelines.

To be considered for this position you must meet the requirements of a Child Care Center Director. You MUST ALSO HAVE PREVIOUSLY WORKED AS A CHILD CARE DIRECTOR or ASSISTANT DIRECTOR. Please visit the website below (pages 21-23) for Program Director Qualifications

Program Director responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Work closely with management staff to update and maintain the professional credentials of each staff member
  • Stay updated on all laws and regulations and make certain that all company operations are within the scope of those laws
  • Work required to make sure that the organization’s certifications remain intact and in good standing
  • Initiate and set goals for programs according to the strategic objectives of the organization
  • Plan the programs from start to completion involving deadlines, milestones and processes
  • Develop or approve budgets and operations
  • Devise evaluation strategies to monitor performance and determine the need for improvements
  • Supervise all program and staff members involved to provide feedback and resolve complex problems
  • Discover ways to enhance efficiency and productivity of procedures and people
  • Apply change, risk and resource management principles when needed
  • Read reports prepared by managers to determine progress and issues
  • Ensure program operations and activities adhere to legal guidelines and internal policies
  • Keep senior management informed with detailed and accurate reports or presentations
  • Able to pass a background check
  • At least 21 years old with a clean driving record and able to drive.
  • Must have the following certifications: First Aid/CPR, MAT and Food Service Manager or willing to obtain these certifications.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 45 per week
