Overview:

The position of Packer is to breakdown and pack any and all bulk stock assigned to them into sellable package quantities and stock inventory shelves. This is to include but not be limited to all Grade 5 and Grade 8 nuts, bolts, washers, electrical terminals, Brighton products, O-rings, various pins, AND tubing. The bulk stock will be assigned by either the warehouse manager or receiving clerks. The packers will assemble drawers and create labels, when necessary. The packers also will back up various other positions to include order fillers and receiving.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Inventory bins

· Request cases for packing

· Weigh/count items breaking bulk stock into sellable quantities

· Pulling bulk stock for “both” packing positions

· Assisting receiving clerk in checking in merchandise and stocking shelves

· Relabeling shelves and bins, as necessary

· Breaking down and stocking bulk skids of fasteners which includes setting aside bulk materials for existing orders and receiving materials into computer system

· Unloading and loading trucks, as necessary

· Pack shipping boxes and shipping bags

· General cleaning to include empty trash and sweeping

· Fill printer and label machines

· Make cabinet labels

· Make box and bag labels

· Keep work area clean and orderly

· Assist order fillers in filling orders as needed

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Starting at $17/hr

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-4:30p
