Who are we looking for?

Wilson Farm is hiring an experienced (minimum 4 years) full-time, year-round Mechanic to join our maintenance team to service tractors, farm equipment, heavy and light trucks, electric pallet jacks, refrigerated trailer units, and other various equipment repairs. This position pays from $30.00 depending on experience.

Primary Responsibilities for a Mechanic

· Perform all vehicle maintenance and repair tasks

· Basic maintenance work on small vehicles, farm equipment, electric jacks, tractors, and trucks

· Routine maintenance (replacing fluids, lubricating parts, etc.) aiming for vehicle functionality and longevity

· Purchasing responsibility to ensure parts and supplies readily available on-site to make repairs

· Inspect vehicles according to the state requirements

· Keep logs on issues reported and work performed to correct those issues

· Maintain equipment and tools in good working condition

· Perform welding repairs as needed

Experience/Qualifications needed

· Proficient mechanical skills, with the ability to operate diagnostic equipment

· Hands-on knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic components of vehicles

· Ability to operate vehicles including farm tractors, a plus

· Trade school graduate in auto mechanics or related, equivalent experience

· Refrigerated trailer experience a plus!

· Current, valid driver’s license and must be over 18 years of age

Work Schedule

· Full-time is 5 days/week (45 hours/week)

· Schedule may fluctuate according to business needs/season

· Holidays will likely require more hours.

· Standing/bending/reaching for periods of time

· Bend or twist body

· Repeat the same movements

· Kneel, stoop, crouch, or crawl

· Ability to lift, pull, or push up to 50 lbs.
