HORIZON TRANSPORT is Hiring a Claims Processor Near Wakarusa, IN

Horizon Transport, an Employee Stock Ownership Plan company, is seeking a customer service minded Claims Processor.

The opportunity is full-time, indoor clerical at a modern, comfortable office building.

The position requires prompt, intelligent information processing and communication.

Principle Duties:

  • Communicate with fleet for damages, accidents and billing issues resulting from compliance issue, log violations and DOT inspections.
  • Initiate contact with manufacturer, insurance company and any third party regarding any accident.
  • Provide direction to driver once damage has occurred, whether to bring it back or take unit for repairs.
  • Investigate and determine fault or liability.
  • Negotiate settlement with representative from firm.
  • Train prospective drivers on what to do with safety, damage, and breakdown related items as they are getting started.
  • Preform truck inspections for fleet compliance.
  • Delease drivers who have been involved in severe safety related issues or total loss accidents.
  • Communicate with and put on probation repeat violators of log violations.
  • Block drivers for severe safety issues.

Other Skills needed:

- Ability to operate Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

- Ability to operate typical office equipment such as phone, fax and computer

This is a full-time position Monday-Friday 8am-5pm.

Excellent customer service, organization and phone skills a must.

Experience required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
