The Director of Regional Operations will have direct responsibility for the P&L of the region, lead and manage all professional and field personnel within the region, daily operations, project completions, budgets, recruitment, compliance and regional growth. He / She will be expected to develop and maintain existing business as well as establish new business. Additional responsibilities include overseeing inventory of supplies, equipment and vehicles for the region, reviewing daily job reports; Health and Safety compliance, fleet maintenance and repair, DOT and OSHA compliance and reporting, and writing proposals.
· Manage and mentor the Regional Manager of Emergency Response
· Work with staff to coordinate and manage all personnel, emergency responses and scheduled projects within division
· Manage all assigned project to completion and ensure customer satisfaction
· Partner with the Regional Manager of ER to ensue all technicians are adhering to the Training Matrix
· Consistently demonstrate the ability to recognize and deal with priorities
· Understand, keep abreast of, and comply with federal, state, and local regulations that affect operations, such as EPA hazardous waste disposal, OSHA, etc.
· Must maintain acceptable operational office staffing levels in accordance with office size throughout the region
· Responsible for quality control across all offices in the region
· Master processes and in-house technologies for improved efficiencies
· Partner with the Project Management Office to solve areas of opportunity
· Work with team to achieve optimal utilization and revenue for each office in the region
· Partner with Business Development team to successfully manage new and developing business opportunities within the region
· Oversee timely billing and documentation for internal and external clients (Clients, agencies, etc.)
· Assist the sales team and others in marketing the overall services the company provides
· Work with the Health & Safety Manager and Compliance Director to develop and implement site specific health and safety plans for all projects and to work towards our goal of 100% health & safety compliance to the training matrix
· Responsible for assuring that all company-owned vehicles and equipment operate properly and safety and that required periodic maintenance and repairs are accomplished. Will work in conjunction with the Fleet Manager
· Work with the Vice President of Operations and the Director of Emergency Response to run drills and deepen knowledge base of region
· Oversee all aspects of the region including, office, operations staff, fleet and facilities
· Hold regular weekly Area Manager team meetings
· Hold regular weekly Regional Manager meeting
· Regularly report and consult with upper management (VP of Operations and VP of ER)
· Continuously conduct on the job training and cross training
· Partner with Human Resources to ensure hours, expense and payroll is correct
· Available for after-hours emergency response management.
· Ensure all Field Sheets and Remediation Checklists, etc. are correct and submitted on time
· Oversee the “Boot Program” for the region, PPE allocation and new hire onboarding
· Performs other duties as assigned or required by the Vice President of Operations and the Director of Emergency Response
· Excellent communication skills; verbal and written

· Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

· High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor Degree preferred
· Two or more years progressive project management and employee relations experience in related field
