What is PACE North? PACE stands for Program of All Inclusive Care for the Elderly. We are a new and unique option for individuals 55 and older who qualify for nursing facility level of care and wish to remain in their homes as they age. What does that mean? We care for the elderly at our day center on Garfield near Hammond during regular business hours and as needed in their home. If you’ve never heard of us before, that’s okay since we’re new to the region. PACE North began serving the 7 county region’s elderly in 2019 and our service model is so popular it’s growing quickly!

What does a Dietary Aide at PACE North do? Our Dietary Aide provides delicious and healthy meals at lunch each day to the elderly we serve! This role includes lunch preparation and service, operating kitchen and dining equipment, cleaning our kitchen and dining areas, and conducting inventory and storage of food and supplies. As you know, this should all be accomplished safely and according to all appropriate regulations regarding safe food service, sanitation and cleanliness! Requirements

What qualifications should you bring to the table? We’re looking for that special person who loves serving others with a positive approach. We’d appreciate some experience in a food service setting but are willing to train the right person. You’ll need a ServSafe certification, if you don’t yet have it, we can help with on-the-job training! Being a team player able to maintain a professional, friendly, and cordial approach to things is super important as well.
