Schedule: 8:00 AM- 4:30 PM Mon-Fri

· POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

• Applicants must have one of the following Florida Board License (Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist or be a Registered Intern (Must obtain licensure within 6 months of hire date)
• Master's Degree in Human Services or other related field of study to be qualified .
• This is an advanced professional position providing direct therapeutic services to identified mental health and substance abuse clients. Will be required to travel within Hillsborough County via the company or personal vehicle as part of job duties. Valid driver's license and insurance required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conduct thorough assessments of students and determine the appropriate level of care, either diversion and linkage to outpatient services or Baker Act for inpatient care.
• Provide crisis intervention to students in a public school setting and support to families, students, and faculty.
• Accurate and timely documentation of clinical and administrative services following program guidelines and external standards.
• Meets productivity requirements for the designated program through efficient workflow management.
• Maintains cooperative relationships with other internal departments and external agencies and keeps supervisor informed at all times of all relevant client, program, and community issues
• Understands the basic tenants of Co-Occurring disorders and the relationship between mental health and substance abuse.
• The therapist will also demonstrate knowledge of the age-specific needs of the clients treated in the program.
• The therapist will maintain patient care per program guidelines and external standards (Joint Commission, Medicaid, etc.) to children and adolescents.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

• Must have a minimum of a Masters's Degree in the Human Services field of study or other related disciplines such as Sociology, Psychology, Criminology, Social Work, Behavioral Health, etc.
• Must have one of the following valid and active License in Mental Health Counseling, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist in the state of Florida
• Computer proficient in EMR and MS Office programs
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus but not required
• Previous experience in mental health is a plus!
