Desert Peaks Health Care is Hiring a Medical Office Receptionist (part-time) Near Redmond, OR

Job requirements and expectations

  • Welcome patients and visitors, in person and on the telephone
  • Take detailed messages to enhance patient care
  • Check patients in and out
  • Collect co-pays and/or payments required
  • Schedule appointments
  • Keep reception lobby clean and orderly
  • File and send medical records and faxes
  • Check and distribute mail
  • Obtain imaging and referral prior authorizations
  • Follow policy and procedure for patient safety
  • Utilize the electronic health record to perform patient related care
  • Promote the mission of the organization to provide patient centered and excellent care for our community
  • Work collaboratively with other staff members to promote patient wellness
  • Participate in work groups to enhance patient outcomes
  • Self motivated, curious and willing to learn
  • Excitement about the future of healthcare
  • Other duties, as requested
