JOB DESCRIPTION:


JOB ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide creative, administrative and general support for overall PR & communications department needs, including media monitoring and clipping – as well as support in project coordination across departments.
  • Collaborate with team members on all media relations initiatives, including building and maintaining our comprehensive, in-house media database; brainstorming and crafting creative pitches — building media relationships and securing fabulous placements for Sandals and Beaches.
  • Meticulously organizing individual and group media visits – and hosting them on resort, too! – development of compelling itineraries, ensure seamless on-site experiences, and beyond.
  • Thoughtfully write a dynamic mix of materials including press releases, media alerts, executive messaging, news blogs, too-pretty-to-put-down press kits and more.
  • Collaborate on compelling internal and external communications content, including executive messaging, thought leadership pieces, social media and podcast content support, messaging surrounding special projects, brand events and launches, and more.
  • Support in-market media relations (deskside appointments, group media events and other media relations / networking opportunities).
  • Manage individual projects as assigned by the department.
  • Keep your finger on the pulse of the latest trends and obtain additional background and current development information through research and interviews.
  • Stay in the know as it relates to all things new with our resort brands and current promotional efforts.
  • Attend operational reviews and weekly department meetings.
  • Travel to resorts for photoshoots, media visits, and activations – with the incomparable Caribbean as the backdrop!

EXPERIENCE
:

Outlined below are the academic qualifications and length and type of experience deemed necessary by Unique Vacations Inc. in order to perform the role of {Insert Text} competently.

Education:
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university preferred, in Public Relations, Journalism or related communications field.
Experience: 2-3 years of experience in journalism, communications, content creation and/or public relations. Tourism/hospitality specific experience is a bonus.
