At Process Cooling Systems, Inc. the CAD Designer is a valued partner to our engineering and product fabrication teams, bringing the design concept to a 3D model that can be custom-built to the customer’s specific needs and specifications.
To be considered candidates must have:
● Trade School Diploma or equivalent.
● 1-2 years experience utilizing 3D modeling and 2D CAD software; SolidWorks Certification is highly desired.
● Experience with SolidWorks PDM software a plus.
● Experience with Bill of Materials highly desired.
● Ability to implement the basic principles of three-view concepts for piping details, building layouts, system schematics, structural details and details concerning equipment such as tanks, pumps, chillers, cooling towers, and air handling units.
● Ability to think in a three-dimensional manner.
● Ability to use basic math skills and have an understanding of how to measure using basic tools.
● Commutable within 1 hour’s drive time of our Leominster, MA facility on a daily basis
Job Responsibilities:
● Using Solidworks to create 3D models of cooling tower systems, chilled water systems, piping and HVAC systems.
● Create detailed manufacturing drawings from the models.
● Create system piping schematics using 2D drawing software.
● Create plant layout drawings using 2D and 3D software.
● Create bill of materials for parts ordering.
● Measure parts to accurately update models.
