(Full time or part time hours, onsite in Brea) We are seeking a talented and motivated Junior Video Editor with a background in videography to join our creative team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for visual storytelling, a keen eye for detail, and a solid foundation in both camera work and video editing. As a Junior Video Editor, you will play a crucial role in producing engaging and impactful video content that aligns with our brand's objectives.
Responsibilities:
Video editing in Adobe suite products like Adobe Premiere, After Affects, etc.
Videography (camera work) with in-house equipment, cameras, lights, backdrops, etc.
Collaborate with the creative team to understand project objectives and deliver creative video solutions.
Participate in brainstorming sessions to contribute ideas for video concepts, storyboards, and visual approaches.
Assist in planning and executing video shoots, including setting up equipment, framing shots, and capturing high-quality footage.
Operate cameras, lighting equipment, and audio devices to capture video and audio content.
Review and select the best takes from footage, ensuring visual and audio continuity.
Edit video content to meet project specifications, including cutting scenes, adding transitions, inserting graphics, and synchronizing audio.
Incorporate feedback from team members and clients to refine video edits and achieve the desired outcome.
Collaborate with the senior video editors to enhance your skills and learn advanced editing techniques.
Stay updated with industry trends, new video editing tools, and software updates to improve workflow and efficiency.
Qualifications:
A portfolio or sample work video that showcases both videography and video editing skills is ideal.
A bachelor's degree in film production, video editing, multimedia, or a related field is preferred, but not mandatory.
Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or other industry-standard tools.
Basic understanding of camera operation, composition, lighting, and audio recording techniques.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain consistency in visual and audio elements.
Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
A proactive and enthusiastic attitude, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Basic knowledge of color correction, motion graphics, and visual effects is a plus.
