Job Summary:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Part-Time Sports Teacher to join our summer camp team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about sports and physical education, with the ability to teach a variety of sports and field day activities to students ranging from Kindergarten to 8th grade. The Sports Teacher will plan and implement engaging activities that promote teamwork, physical fitness, and fun.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive sports and physical activity program suitable for children in Kindergarten to 8th grade.
• Teach a variety of sports including but not limited to soccer, basketball, baseball, volleyball, and track and field.
• Organize and oversee field day activities and team-building exercises.
• Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages participation and teamwork.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all campers during sports activities.
• Adapt activities to meet the needs and skill levels of all campers.
• Communicate effectively with campers, parents, and staff.
• Monitor and manage sports equipment and supplies.
• Uphold camp policies, procedures, and standards.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience working with children in a sports or recreational setting.
• Strong knowledge of various sports and physical activities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate and engage children of all ages and skill levels.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Positive attitude, patience, and a passion for working with children.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Degree or coursework in Physical Education, Sports Management, Recreation, or a related field.
• Coaching certification or relevant training in youth sports.

Requirements:

• Must be able to work in-person.
• Must be flexible to any schedule changes and other requests made by the director and assistant director.
• Must be able to work from June 3 - August 2, from 12:30 PM - 3:30 PM

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12 – 15 per week
