Description
FaySummer seeks applicants for the position of the 'Archery Activity Leader' to work during its 8-week summer camp program with children ages 6 to 14 years. The activity leader will spend the camp day teaching campers the proper safety and technique on the archery range. Situated outside, and with a mix of abilities and ages, the perfect candidate is experienced, fun, and safety conscious. Candidates must hold formal certification and be comfortable designing and leading the Archery program. FaySummer has been running for over 20 years and is set on a beautiful, 66-acre campus.
The position will begin with staff training during the week of June 17, in preparation for camp opening on June 24. When camp is in session, the normal work schedule is 8:15 a.m. – 4:15 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Qualifications
Applicants must be at least a year on from graduated from high school and have a current archery certification or be available to be certified prior to the start of camp. Previous experience working with children ages 6 to 14 in a camp, school, or childcare setting are preferred. Candidates are expected to be professional, have strong verbal and written communication skills, and have a high level of comfort giving direction when required.
