Job Summary:
The Warehouse Associate loads and unloads freight. Transports product to and from outside warehouse and well as jockey trailers around premise.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Move freight or other materials to and from loading docks, delivery vehicles by using forklifts, and other equipment.
· Confirms availability of items to be shipped by verifying inventory records or conducting inventories of required items.
· Manually handles, repacks, restacks, and attach identifying tags to pallets of finished product as needed.
· Record numbers of units handled or moved by using daily production sheets or work tickets.
· Operates forklift truck as needed and position material handling equipment effectively and safely.
· Jockey finished trucks and empty trailers.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a distribution center or warehouse setting
- Proficiency in materials handling, including operating forklifts and other heavy equipment
- Experience with loading and unloading materials efficiently and safely
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and procedures
- Ability to operate reach trucks, order pickers, and other premium equipment
- Previous experience in warehouse management or supervision is a plus
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems for inventory tracking and control
- Certification in operating cherry pickers, clamp trucks, or equipment repair is preferred
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety protocols
- Ability to operate lift trucks, pallet jacks, and other equipment for shipping and receiving tasks
- Strong mechanical aptitude and basic math skills
- Capable of heavy lifting and performing order picking duties with accuracy and efficiency.
