Overview:
Are you a dynamic leader with a passion for early childhood education? Our STEM focused Preschool, catering to children aged 6 weeks to 6 years old, is searching for a Director of Learning and Development to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee classroom coaching sessions to support teachers in implementing effective instructional strategies. We're seeking someone with robust leadership abilities, a profound grasp of early childhood education principles, and an unwavering dedication to delivering exceptional learning experiences for young minds.

Duties:

- Develop and execute comprehensive educational programs that adhere to the highest standards of early childhood education and cater to the diverse needs of children aged 6 weeks to 6 years old.
- Collaborate closely with teachers to craft captivating and developmentally appropriate curriculum plans that foster holistic growth and learning outcomes for each child.

- Collaboratively establish professional learning goals with administration and teaching staff, and track progress towards achieving them
- Provide leadership and guidance to our teachers offering mentorship, coaching, and opportunities for professional growth.
- Conduct routine observations, assessments, and evaluations to uphold program excellence and ensure compliance with licensing standards and educational mandates.
- Cultivate a nurturing and inclusive learning atmosphere that encourages teamwork, innovation, and mutual respect among staff, children, and families.
- Maintain documentation and records pertaining to staff assessments and training in alignment with organizational protocols and regulatory requisites.

- Ensure staff and student profiles are kept current on applicable apps used in center with photos and information

- Proactively anticipate and address classroom supply needs, optimizing efficiency and minimizing disruptions to teaching.

- Communicate effectively with teachers to adjust schedules and facilitate early dismissals based on student enrollment

- Conduct terminations respectfully and professionally, following established protocols and legal requirements

- Provide personalized training and mentorship to facilitate quick onboarding and integration into the team.

- Foster a welcoming and supportive environment to ensure new staff feel valued and empowered.

- Provide classroom assistance and support as needed to ensure smooth daily operations

- Facilitate classroom transitions by ensuring appropriate teacher assignments while assisting with classroom setup and the implementation of lesson plans as needed.

- Review resumes and application materials to identify suitable candidates for open positions, considering relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.

- Maintain detailed records of candidate interactions and utilize Indeed Smart Sourcing to conduct efficient recruitment ensuring optimal skills matching for open positions.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field; preference given to candidates with advanced degrees.
- Minimum 3 years of progressive experience in leadership roles within early childhood education, demonstrating a track record of achievement in program innovation and staff management.
- Profound understanding of early childhood development theories, curriculum frameworks, and educational benchmarks.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrate leadership, encompassing staff supervision, team cultivation, and conflict resolution capabilities.
- Proficiency in multitasking, workload prioritization, and adaptability within a dynamic work environment.
- Familiarity with Colorado state licensing regulations and accreditation standards applicable to early childhood programs.
- Dedication to advancing equity, diversity, and inclusivity in educational endeavors.
