Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic IT Support Intern to join our team. The IT Support Intern will assist in providing technical support to our staff, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and assisting with various IT projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a student or recent graduate to gain hands-on experience in the field of IT support.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware.
Install, configure, and troubleshoot computer hardware, software, printers, and other peripheral devices.
Assist in maintaining IT inventory, including tracking equipment and software licenses.
Collaborate with IT team members to resolve technical problems efficiently.
Document and maintain records of IT support activities, including resolutions, troubleshooting steps, and user communications.
Assist in the setup and support of audiovisual equipment for meetings and presentations.
Participate in IT projects, such as software deployments, system upgrades, network installations, and/or cybersecurity awareness training.
Stay updated on new technologies and IT trends to contribute ideas for improving IT support services.
Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding IT security and data privacy.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience
Currently enrolled in a technical school or degree program in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or recent graduate.
Basic understanding of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows), and collaboration software (Microsoft Office Suite).
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with colleagues.
Eagerness to learn and willingness to take on new challenges.
Familiarity with ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) principles is a plus.
·Availability to work part-time during regular business hours.
Language Skills
Able to communicate and comprehend in the English Language to perform the duties of this position. Able to read and comprehend instructions and general business material.Able to write clear and concise business correspondence.Able to clearly communicate with customers in person, via the telephone, and via e-mail and convey the intended meaning.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to occasionally loud and PPE is required. Appropriate hearing protection while in the plant is required as noise levels within the facility meet OSHA requirements for hearing protection equipment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Account Representatives typically work in an office environment but for the purpose of the project may sometimes take them to non-standard workplaces. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
