SHIFT: 3PM - 11PM, MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY

Oak Manor Senior Living Community is seeking an evening nurse to provide continuity of care for our AL/IL residents. This shift will run from 3pm to 11pm, Monday thru Friday.

Oak Manor is on a 17-acre property in Largo, FL. We have been serving this community for over 40 years.

GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB

Assisting DON in all aspects of resident care, nursing services, and directing personnel within the facility.

STANDARD REQUIREMENTS

· Is knowledgeable of resident rights and ensures an atmosphere which allows for the privacy, dignity and well-being of all residents in a safe, secure environment;

· Supports and cooperates with specific procedures and programs for:

· Safety, including universal precautions and safe work practices, established fire/safety/disaster plans, risk management, and security, report and/or correct unsafe working conditions, equipment repair and maintenance needs;

· Confidentiality of all data including resident, employee and operations data;

· Quality Improvement and compliance with all regulatory requirements;

· Compliance with current law and policy to provide a work environment free from sexual harassment and all illegal discriminatory behavior;

· Supports and participates in common teamwork:

· Cooperates and works together with all co-workers;

· Uses tactful, appropriate communications in sensitive and emotional situations;

· Follows up as appropriate with supervisor, co-workers or residents regarding reported complaints, problems and concerns;

· Completes requirements for in-service training, acceptable attendance, uniform and dress codes including personal hygiene, and other work duties as assigned;

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Be accountable for nursing compliance, excellence, and delivery of resident care services in adherence with local, state, and federal regulations;

· In absence of the DON, responsible for carrying out all established resident care policies, with the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary for carrying out the duties;

· Conduct routine rounds of facility to monitor residents progress;

· Review, monitor, intervene and report complaints/grievances made by residents, families, etc.;

· Perform emergency procedures such as Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and report accidents or incidents in a timely manner;

· Participate in the the development of policies and procedures that govern nursing services and other services under his or her position control;

· Responsible for staff performance, retention and development;

· Participates in appropriate meetings and committees

· Audit documentation for errors or inconsistencies; correct or document as necessary;

· Inventory, identify and monitor the storage of equipment, supplies, etc.;

· Monitor medication passes and treatment schedules to ensure that medications are being administered as ordered and that treatments are provided as scheduled.

· Complete the monthly Medication Administration Records.

· Take assignments as needed for call offs.
