Position Summary:

The Engineering Supervisor is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the maintenance, repair, and operation of all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structural systems within the property. This role involves supervising a team of engineers, ensuring the safety and functionality of resort facilities, and contributing to an exceptional guest experience.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

· Supervise and lead a team of engineers, assigning tasks, and managing work schedules.

· Provide training, guidance, and mentorship to ensure the team's professional development.

· Provide ongoing training to engineering staff on new equipment, technologies, and safety procedures.

· Conduct performance evaluations and address any performance issues in a timely manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Oversee the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structural systems within the resort.

· Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to extend the lifespan of equipment and reduce downtime.

· Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs and services as needed.

· Conduct regular inspections of resort facilities to identify potential maintenance issues or safety concerns.

· Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols, including fire codes and emergency procedures.

· Implement and enforce safety training programs for engineering staff.

· Monitor expenditures, manage cost controls, and recommend cost-effective solutions for maintenance and repairs.

· Implement initiatives to reduce energy consumption, minimize waste, and promote environmentally friendly practices.

· Collaborate with other departments to ensure that guest comfort and satisfaction are maintained through efficient and effective engineering services.

· Respond promptly to guest requests and concerns related to engineering matters.

· Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment servicing.

· Generate regular reports on maintenance activities, equipment status, and departmental performance.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

· Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

· Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing maintenance issues.

· Familiarity with energy-efficient practices and sustainability initiatives.

· Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, and respond to emergencies.

Education and Experience:

· Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field (preferred).

· Several years of experience in engineering and maintenance, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory role.

· Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.

Physical Requirements:

· Must be able to move lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 80 pounds.

· Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.

· Must be able to stand or walk for an extended period or for an entire work shift (range from 8-12 hours).

· Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.

· Must be able to work in a kitchen environment that may involve exposure to extreme heat or cold.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 per year
