Job Title: Quality Technician
Department: Quality
Classification: Hourly
Reports to: Quality Engineer
Scope of Responsibility: Provide ongoing floor and Quality Management System support for all quality initiatives in our organization.
Essential Functions:
· Conduct in-process inspections, receiving and final product inspections.
· Serve as a resource to production, logistics and maintenance team members and answer questions and research answers for them.
· Maintain quality files and documentation (hard copies and files in computer system)
· Assist in controlling and disposition of nonconforming product.
· Conduct internal Quality Management System, manufacturing process, product, and layered process audits. Create audit reports and load them to the computer system.
· Email daily reports to quality management staff.
· Assist with supplier control including material sorts and counting of defective material.
· Assist and perform product sorts and investigation for defective material in house as well as at customer facility.
· This position is responsible for maintaining and supporting ISO9001 and understanding the consequences of the product/process not meeting the standard or customer’s quality requirements.
· Comply with all Environmental, Health and Safety policies and Company procedures.
· Assist in maintaining measuring equipment inventory/calibration.
· Perform Measurement Systems Analysis to ensure quality of measurement systems.
· Work overtime as assigned by management including movement of shift and/or locations. Example (1st-3rd EPP) must be flexible.
· Any and all other duties as assigned by management
Non-Essential:
· Conduct training on inspection and measurement techniques.
· Conduct investigations per the Quality Engineer
· Interact with customer during investigations/containment activities.
Education/ Background/Experience:
1. High school diploma or GED
2. Good knowledge about measuring instruments, gauges and measuring methods.
3. Preference given for ability to read blueprints, knowledge about Geometrical Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
4. Automotive experience with knowledge about Quality Systems.
5. Computer skills including use of Microsoft Word and Excel
6. Able to read schematics and follow work instructions.
7. Good math, written and oral skills.
8. Prior Experience as Quality Technician is Preferred.

Environmental Factors: Will be required to work in office and manufacturing settings to collect analyze and report data. Will sit, stand, walk, lift, bend, stoop, push pull and twist on occasion. May lift up to 50 pounds on occasion. Some travel maybe required.
