Description
Coordinates and assist with activities of associates engaged in maintaining and operating all equipment by performing the following duties
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
11. Inspects and measures parts and products to verify conformance to specifications.
12. Train and assist all associates on adjusting machines and equipment to repair products which fail to meet standards. Train associates on safety related processes.
13. Analyzes and provide inputs to resolves work problems or assists associates in solving work problems.
14. Assist on monitoring absenteeism and maintains time and production records.
15. Responsible for training associates to include maintain and verify performance levels and update records and keep daily records and paperwork of progress and scrap.
16. Responsible for all associates in your area during emergency, ensuring all associates understand and follow the response procedures for all types of emergency events.
17. Assist on monitoring and maintaining all TPM Goals (Safety, Scrap, Customer Defects, In-Process Defects and Downtime Frequency).
18. Supports and participates in continual improvement projects for Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS).
20. Implement and enforce EHS programs and policies.
21. Perform safety audits in absence of TL, propose and implement corrective actions.
Ensures associate are meeting SWI required PPE.
Requirements
Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and two years manufacturing experience (preferred experience with Heartland Automotive).

Strong interpersonal skills and good verbal and written communication skills
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office Word.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Lead and guide associates on specific manufacturing lines. Carries out basic supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and procedures. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; in addition, Lead operators will process complaints and forward them as well as resolve problems.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and analyze information. Ability to write reports and work instructions. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to work with basic mathematical concepts.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Health and Safety Conditions:
Know all potential work and environmental hazards.
PPE Requirements: Safety glasses and any other required PPE in accordance with the SWI for the jobs you may be doing.
