- 3 years’ Supervisory experience
- 5 years’ experience with powder coating , masking and handling finished product
- Experience with maintaining and testing chemical concentrations
- Able to maintain and measure powder thickness along with gloss readings
- Experience with ovens and wash pre-treatment systems
- Ability to Troubleshooting, problem solving skills
- Have an eye for aesthetics
- Ability to plan / schedule and be efficient with powder operation
- Ability to multi-task while maintaining attention to detail and deadlines
- Team-oriented and collaborative
- Strong organizational skills
- Experience with automated powder coating system
- Experience with ordering powder
- Worked with chemical disposal
- Worked with state or city on discharge regulations
- Lead day to day production activities for the Powder Coat operations.
- Collaborate with internal departments to achieve efficient results.
- Enable effective communications between management and operators
- Run inventory and work with purchasing to order supplies and materials for production
- Ensure accurate oven cure temperature and maintenance of the ovens
- Ensure accurate conveyor line speeds for fully cured product
- Measure mil thickness and ensure the accurate color and texture matches of sample chips
- Identify any special coating, masking and/or packaging instructions on job travelers or blueprints.
- Provide effective training to powder coat operators on processes and procedures.
- Run tests and inspections of products, services, and processes to evaluate quality and performance.
- Detect differences between colors, including shades of color and brightness.
- Reviewing orders and conferring with Production Manager to resolve production problems.
- Provide input on and use production tracking, quality control systems, maintenance reports, or other operational reports, to detect production issues and provide solutions.
- Ensure safety systems and procedures are followed.
