Weiss North America is Hiring a Mechanical Assembly Technician Near Willoughby, OH
Hourly/Non-Exempt
- Full-time position.
- Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance on the 31st day of employment.
- 401K eligibility begins after the 60th day of employment.
- Pay is bi-weekly.
- Generous PTO policy.
- Assemble simple to complex mechanical assemblies per specification by interpreting blueprints and drawings while following manufacturing processes and procedures.
- Identify the necessary tooling and equipment to perform assigned operation.
- Inspect parts, as necessary using the proper measuring tools. Micrometers, calipers, etc.
- Lead and instruct others in proper assembly of various mechanical assemblies.
- Maintain proper project documentation.
- Responsible for all duties required for teardown and crating of equipment for shipment.
- Maintain a photo/video library of all builds in an organized manner.
- Track day to day added value operations needed internally.
- Operate a tow motor on a as need to basis, operate and overhead crane as need be.
- Assist in maintaining the highest quality of product provided by Weiss North America.
- Perform other miscellaneous job duties and related functions as directed.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of two years of machinery assembly experience.
- Advanced ability to read and interpret assembly drawings and specifications.
- Intermediate math skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks with a sense of urgency.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Well organized with an aptitude for details.
- Proficient PC skills in a Windows environment.
- Experience with using different types of pneumatic, electrical, and hand tools.
- Able to stand or walk for the majority of the day and able to lift 40lbs on a needed basis and up to 75 pounds with assistance.
- Able to regularly apply physical mobility (stretching, lifting, bending, twisting, etc.) to perform all assembly related assignments.
- Machining and electrical experience and knowledge is a plus.
