The Guidance Center (TGC) is currently seeking Summer Early Childhood Group Leader Assistants to be part of our innovative interdisciplinary team.

TGC is a Community Mental Health Center serving Leavenworth, Atchison, and Jefferson counties in Kansas. We invite all qualified individuals interested in the potential to positively impact in the lives of children, adolescents, and their families to apply.

• Work shift of Monday through Thursday 11 : 00 am to 5 : 00 pm and Friday 8 : 00 am to noon (No evenings for weekends)
• Base hourly pay rate of $19.69 to $22.10 per hour, based on previous relevant experience

Responsibilities

• Encourage and support clients’ engagement in group activities
• Encourage and support clients’ efforts to effectively problem solve and interact with others
• Serve as transportation attendant on transportation routes

Qualifications

EDUCATION :

High school graduate or GED required. Must have completed one year of college course work in

the field of human services, or have one year of experience in the field of human services, or one

year combination of education and work experience in the field of human services

EXPERIENCE :

Required : at least 6 months experience working with individuals in the community.

Experience gained through practicum experience or volunteer work can be included. Preferred : experience working with individuals with mental health issues.
