Being a Client Service Representative (CSR) in a veterinary office takes a special kind of person who is able to deal with both humans and animals alike. As a CSR your primary responsibility is to be efficient in any and all front desk operations. A CSR is the client’s first and last impression of Stamford Veterinary Center and it is important that all clients feel welcome, safe and comfortable. CSRs are invaluable members of our hospital team, and we treat them that way. Responsibilities and Duties

• Greet clients, their pets, and other visitors to our medical office
• Answer patient questions, provide assistance and directions when necessary
• Field all phone calls that arrive using our general office number
• Send emails using our general office email address
• Utilize our medical office software to schedule new and follow-up appointments for our patients
• Register new patients and update necessary records
• Distribute forms and paperwork to patients and then check them over to ensure that required fields are completed appropriately
• Process invoices, and patient payments
• Maintain confidentiality of all patient records
• Ensure that the waiting room environment remains quiet, calm, organized and welcoming
• Uphold the positive reputation of our medical office by always treating visitors in a friendly, welcoming, and compassionate manner
• Obtain medical history for appointments
• Assist technicians with patient treatments
• Assist doctors with patient exams
• Maintain cleanliness of hospital kennels
• Educate clients on preventative care
• Present patient treatment plans to clients
