Duties

Finishing of printed materials by machine with reasonable dexterity and competency. The ability to perform all of the following and not excluding activities or actions that are not mentioned here but that are similar in nature to those listed including. Training is provided to learn how to operate the equipment.

• Folding, Collating, Cutting, Stitching, Laminating, Die Cutting, Padding & Gluing, Compressing, Stacking
• Lifting up to 75lbs,, Twisting, Bending, Carrying (not over 50lbs and not sustained for long periods of time)
• Turning, Hand Counting, Stab Counting and Machine Counting.
• Setup, operation and take off of major bindery equipment; folders, cutters, stitchery, die cutters and laminators etc.
• Setup and operation of minor bindery equipment
• Pack and seal boxes
• Weekend overtime with overtime pay is sometimes required based on workload.

Skills:

• Equipment or warehouse experience
• English reading, writing and speaking
• Ability to stand for entire shift
• Attention for detail
• Ability to count with accuracy
• Perform activities that use the whole body
• Enter information and data on jobs into the computer station
