Company background:
On behalf of our client, we are seeking a skilled executive to fill a full-time corporate accounting office position for a dynamic regional construction company headquartered in the Rogue Valley!
Responsibilities:
Executes and oversees all procedures necessary to maintain proper general accounting records.
Timely invoicing of customers and payments to vendors.
Works closely with project managers to make certain job WIP schedules are updated timely.
Prepares monthly financial statements utilizing construction software.
Analyzes financial statements/reports and interprets operating results as they affect the financial aspect of the Company.
Appraises owners of the Company’s financial position and issues periodic financial and operating reports reflecting the Company’s performance.
Oversees tax matters and coordinates with Company’s CPA in the preparation of all tax returns.
Works with CPA in preparing and documenting reviewed financials, annually.
Responsible for professional development and supervision of small group of reporting staff.
Performs special projects as directed by the owners.
Required skills:
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Understanding of GAAP reporting and various tax implications.
Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Familiarity with payroll and state/sales tax is desired but not required.
Construction industry experience is desired but not required.
Required education and experience:
Bachelors, Post Baccalaureate, or Master’s degree in Accounting (or similar) from an accredited university is preferred.
CPA preferred but not required.
4 years’ experience in public accounting or similar industry.
