After School Teacher Aide/Assistant Guide (Part-Time)

STEAMspark is seeking an After School Teacher Aide/Assistant Guide (Part-Time) to serve students from the ages of 6 weeks to 2nd Grade. The After School Teacher Aide/Assistant Guide (Part-Time) plays an essential role in supporting the lead guide, fostering a nurturing and enriching environment, and promoting the healthy development of children.

We are seeking an instructional assistant to support the Montessori Lead with establishing and maintaining a peaceful Montessori environment.

Role & Responsibilities

• Support the “spark” in the classroom.

• Foster a peaceful multi-age classroom environment that promotes the students' physical, social, and emotional development.

• Support the delivery of lessons that accommodate for differences in student learning styles.
• Practice classroom management procedures and standards for desired student behavior.
• Maintain a clean and orderly classroom.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or student pursuing High School Diploma
• Prefer someone pursuing Associate's or Bachelor's degree

Physical Requirements

• Able to sit on the floor to assist with lessons.
• Able to lift at least 25 pounds.

Salary

Salary range of $14.40 to $17.60 per hour
