Perform a wide variety of duties to maintain and control accurate levels of inventory in grocery and perishable warehouses. This includes the evaluation, research of complex inventory discrepancies, and entering of data information into warehouse systems, coordinating transfers, working with claims, prioritizing loads, coordinating the yard, mail in POD paperwork, coordinate product recalls, assisting with scheduling, waving, lumper fees and bank deposits, training new IC associates, error form and database maintenance, equipment audits. The role is also responsible for auditing of outbound cases to retail stores, technical support to receiving and shipping departments, and exchange of information as needed with customers in retail, merchandising, trucking, and distribution.
· Coordinate inventory for transfers and complete corresponding paperwork
· Assisting with claims from stores and suppliers. Assisting with providing proof of delivery upon request.
· Coordinating and prioritizing the work in the yard
· Daily reporting to management of IB receiving and IC compliance
· Collect, organize and mail in POD / BOLs / ASNs every week
· Coordinate product pulls and documentation for recalls
· Assist with scheduling
· Waving during the day if needed
· Collecting, verifying, documenting, auditing, and preparing lumper fees for deposit to bank
· Help train and instruct new IC associates
· Filling out error sheets, updating and maintaining the database for accountability
· Equipment audit
· Assist with cubiscan and TI/HI maintenance
· Execute and maintain processes for inventory department independently or without supervision
· Able to perform complex research and analysis to identify, diagnosis, and resolve problems
· Apply and execute leadership responsibilities within the team or group
· Communicate and contact business partners and customers outside of the campus and address concerns in a positive manner
· Maintain accurate inventory of all departments within the campus
· Perform quality control and auditing responsibilities
· Perform perpetual cycle counts and all supplemental count requirements within established time frames
· Monitor warehouse damage and initiate resolution
· Notify appropriate department leads for product discrepancies
· Utilize reports to assist campus in investigating and expediting issues related to inventory discrepancies and audit results
· Maintain accurate, organized files for all department responsibilities for efficient access to necessary information
· Perform daily warehouse responsibilities in areas related to shipping, receiving and/or inventory management within established time frames.
· Make recommendations for modifications to procedures or processes impacting their work group or campus that will maximize efficiency, productive, and reduce costs.
· Ensure compliance with company standards in the areas of accuracy, safety and productivity.
· Understand Food Safety handling techniques, practices and expectations for the work environment.
· Assign items select slots based on the strategy of achieving retail and distribution operational productivity while ensuring the safety of associates and product
· Maintain integrity of slotting strategy through analysis and continual alignment of slot profiles with item velocity.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
· Expert knowledge with WMS and supporting systems
· Seasoned knowledge of inventory practices, procedures and research techniques
· Working Knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs
· Excellent customer service, communication, verbal and written skills
· Demonstrate effective and successful leadership skills by producing positive results in the maintaining of accurate inventory
· Meet production standards set by the company
· Read and understand written and numeric product identifiers
· Must be able to work needed schedule to perform assigned duties
· Proficient use of computer for data entry and research purposes
· Highly motivated, self-starter and team player with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize multiple task in a fast-paced environment
· Reach, stoop, bend and lift up to and including 60 lbs.
· Stand for long periods of time
· Work in a warehouse environment with varying conditions (i.e. cool temperatures, concrete floors, powered industrial trucks)
Education:
· High School education
· Certified on a powered industrial equipment where applicable
Experience:
· 3 years experiences in Inventory Management Operations or job functions
· Familiarity/experience in a distribution environment preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $26.50 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
