Job Summary

Medical Eye Practice Opportunity - Expanding and established Ophthalmology and Optometry Practice with offices in Menifee, Temecula and Hemet CA seeks Medical Assistant/ Ophthalmic Tech. We seek strong team member who enjoys a busy clinic and has excellent communication skills with patients and staff. Experience with computerized Electronic Medical Records for work ups and scribing with doctors. Perform testing on the latest diagnostic equipment. Candidates with Optical experience are welcome to apply. Some training is available for energetic and friendly individual who is detail oriented, has ability to multi-task and can work cooperatively in a busy medical environment. We seek career-oriented individual who has experience with and/or a desire to learn all facets of working in a Medical Eye Practice.

Responsibilities and Duties

Ideal candidate will be experienced in taking patient histories, visual acuities, applanation tonometry, refraction, dilation, external examination, slit lamp skills, OCT, VF, and fundus photography. Knowledge of Ophthalmology terminology and strong patient service skills needed. We are willing to train qualified candidates with prior medical or Optical experience or Medical Assistant training.

Qualifications and Skills

1 year medical tech / medical assistant experience, preferably in Ophthalmology or Optometry office. Some College, Medical Assisting Certificate and/or COA preferred. Bilingual Spanish a Plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
