Unison Bank is Hiring a Credit Analyst Near Gilbert, AZ

 

Summary/Objective

Primarily, the Credit Analyst position serves as the loan analyst for credits. This includes loan analysis, preparing the credit analysis on loans presented to the loan committee, and performing the annual reviews of credits.

Essential Functions

  1. Responsible for analyzing loan data on new, renewing, and existing loans, including data provided by credit bureaus, other financial institutions and financial institution files.
  2. Prepare spreadsheets, reports, summaries and opinions for financial institution officers on new, renewing, and existing loans. Maintain control of the request, submission and receipt of financial documents from borrowers and prepare necessary analysis documentation. Ensure credit presentations are completed in a timely manner to accommodate approval deadlines.
  3. Establish, review and update new and existing loan files for the bank on a regular basis.
  4. Ensure all data entry is accurate and complete
  5. Maintain a good working knowledge of the Bank’s lending policies and procedures and identify deviations from policy. Recommend policy changes to VP Senior Credit Officer when appropriate.
  6. Attend Loan Committee and Board Loan Committee and provide narrative summary of financial and collateral analysis for the committee’s consideration.
  1. Provide an assessment of loan condition and quality, independent of the lending function.
  2. Report to the Loan Officer, VP Senior Credit Officer, Senior Loan Officer/AZ Market President/President findings that may have an adverse effect on loan collateral or a borrower’s ability to repay the loan. Will be responsible for submitting required reports as necessary.
  3. Acts as a backup to the Credit Assistant for certain administrative duties. 10.
  4. Consistently demonstrates appropriate interpersonal communication skills with customers, coworkers, and outside vendors.
  5. Follows all Unison Bank policies and procedures.
  6. Regular and reliable attendance.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.

Physical Demands

This is a largely sedentary role. The employee is regularly required to remain in a stationary position. The employee is occasionally required to move about inside the office. The employee is regularly required to handle files and documents as well as regularly operate a computer and keyboard. The employee is regularly required to communicate with customers and other staff members and exchange accurate information in these situations. The employee is required to have close visual acuity to perform activities such as viewing a computer terminal and reviewing/inspecting documents.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position.

Travel

Travel is primarily local during the business day.

Required Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field; or 5 years of credit analysis experience; or an acceptable combination of education and experience.

Preferred Education and Experience

2 or more years of credit analysis experience in a community bank.
