Lake Whatcom Center is Hiring a Community Case Manager Near Bellingham, WA

Community Case Manager

LWC is seeking a Case Manager to join the Community Program. The CCM (Community Case Manager) is a full time position working with adults with serious and persistent mental illnesses. The CCM is responsible for providing case management services.

Minimum Qualifications:

Preferably Bachelor’s Degree in behavioral sciences (Psychology, Sociology, Human Services, etc.) or related field, or Associate of Arts Degree with at least two (2) years’ experience in mental health or related field working with chronically mentally ill adults. Good personal relations skills; ability to work with difficult clients. Good organizational skills; Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks; Ability to work cooperatively in a team approach; Ability to apply a Recovery based approach; Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion. Good verbal, written, communication, and computer skills; visual and auditory skills required to communicate, ensure and deliver client care and provide legal documentation of care; Requires frequent standing, bending at the knees and waist, kneeling and reaching; Requires frequent walking to accomplish tasks; Requires ability to lift 30 pounds. Acceptable driving record and ability to be covered by LWC insurance carrier. Ability to apply for Department of Health Agency Affiliated Counselor License within 7 days of hire, and obtain said license within 60 days.

Employment contingent on successful background check and Washington State counseling profession credential issued by the Department of Health (e.g. Agency Affiliated Counselor and must apply for within 7 days of hire, preferably prior to hire).
