**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Clerk/HR Assistant to join our team. The Payroll Clerk/HR Assistant will be responsible for assisting with payroll and benefit processing, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

**Responsibilities:**

- Assist in processing payroll for employees

- Maintain payroll and benefit information by collecting, calculating, and entering data

- Prepare reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages

- Resolve payroll discrepancies by reviewing time entries and records reports from Supervisors

- Update payroll records by entering changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job reclassifications

- Provide payroll and benefit information by answering questions and requests

- Maintain payroll operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes

**Requirements:**

- Familiarity with human resources practices

- Experience working with Excel
