Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in education, human services or related field.
- Certified Prevention Specialist (CPS) or be certified within 18 months of hire.
- Prior experience facilitating groups;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Public speaking experience(preferred);
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint and Outlook);
- Valid driver's license.
- Promotes destigmatization of substance use disorders.
- Coordinate services with referral sources and other community resources.
- Understand and demonstrate knowledge of the Strategic Prevention Framework and Public Health Model of prevention.
- Provide direct service hours to community.
- Complete and maintain confidential written reports within prescribed time frames.
- Design prevention programs to meet the needs of the community and/or special interest groups.
- Demonstrate an understanding of the disease process of addiction, the core functions of prevention, and apply these appropriately to job duties.
- Use and/or develop evaluation tools to measure outcomes for prevention programs.
- Meet the short-term outcomes and all deliverable expectations as written in the grant.
- Attend all team meetings as assigned.
Pay: Based on education, experience and credentials
Schedule: 8 hour shifts
- Day shift with occasional evenings 8:30am – 5:00pm
- Monday-Friday
