Requirements

Role:

Responsible for overseeing the overall core data processing system of the Credit Union and working knowledge of all related integrated platforms. The Core System Specialist will work closely with the core system provider and other key application vendors to collaborate on development plans, enhancements, upgrades, fixes and to swiftly adopt new technologies and features that benefit our employees and members.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the credit union core system and integrated applications. Prioritizing and triaging HelpDesk tickets related to configurations, user privilege, access, troubleshooting errors, and escalating issues to vendors for resolution. Work with business units to implement new products, services, and integration projects.
• Plan, communicate, coordinate, and test core system releases. Work with business units impacted by changes and new features to maximize the utilization and value of the core system.
• Works with core system vendors and other key integrated application vendors to stay up to date on emerging technologies, follow their development roadmaps, and be a champion for credit union strategic initiatives, automation, and creating efficiencies.
• Participate in core system training, webinars, user groups, and other forums to stay up to date on software development planning and provide input from the credit union. Develop partnerships with other credit union IT/Core System departments to amplify our voice to vendors.
