Rello Search Partners is searching for an Accounting Supervisor with our client in Tampa to supervise the department and staff. Our client is a private company in the real estate and management services industry with multiple locations throughout the Tampa Bay area.

This is a high visibility role reporting to the Director of Accounting and managing a large team of direct and indirect reports.

** Only local candidates residing within in the Tampa Bay area and able to work onsite will be considered for the position. This is NOT hybrid or remote. **

Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the accounting department. This includes supervising and training accounting staff and providing support to the Director of Accounting.

Provide accurate and timely recording of accounting transaction activities in accordance with US GAAP. This includes the preparation, review, and approval of monthly financial statements and applicable annual attest engagements / tax returns in a timely manner based on established deadlines.

Responsible for ensuring internal controls are in place according to Corporate requirements.

Ensure monthly financial prepared by Accountants are reviewed prior to distribution

Manage the accounting team performance with a focus on development and training

Provide timely information to external auditors to ensure timely completion of attest engagements/tax returns

Develop and implement consistent policies, procedures, accounting principles, best practices and reporting requirements throughout the accounting organization and ensures appropriate cross-training

Foster collaborative relationships with cross functional stakeholders with a focus on customer service

Requirements:

Bachelor degree Accounting or Finance from an accredited university

CPA license a plus but not required

6 years of direct and relevant experience in accounting with supervisory experience

Possess exceptional presentation and communication skills both written and verbal

Property management industry experience highly desired

Proficient in Microsoft Office

Pay: $80,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
