Histotechnician Job Description
Location: Orange City Clinic, Orange City, FL, 32763
Duties:
- Perform specimen collection processing and preparation for analysis
- Conduct laboratory procedures to assist pathologists in diagnosing diseases
- Utilize anatomy and physiology knowledge to accurately process samples
- Work in various settings such as hospitals, clinical laboratories, and research laboratories
- Employ phlebotomy skills when necessary
- Demonstrate proficiency in aseptic techniques and laboratory procedures
- Utilize laboratory techniques to ensure accurate results
Qualifications:
- Degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field
- Certification as a Histotechnician (HT) or Histotechnologist (HTL) required
- Experience working in a histology laboratory setting
- Strong understanding of histological techniques and procedures
- Proficiency in using laboratory equipment and instruments
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Candidate will be required to take an onsite skills test as part of the hiring process
