Description:

Prepare the patient for and assist the physician with examination. Obtain vital signs and other preliminary information prior to the patient examination. Assist the physician with the examination. Perform routine office testing as ordered. Prepare and administer medications in injectable, aerosol, and other forms. Document appropriately. Receive, process, and respond to mail, prescription refills, and other inquiries promptly.

Education:

Completion of an accredited school of Registered Nursing, Practical Nursing or Certified Medical Assistant.

Experience:

One (1) year of experience in an office or medically related environment preferred. Ability to work collaboratively with all members of the health care team and excellent communication skills required.

Licenses/Certificates:

AAMA Certification or AMT Registration required within 6 months of hire or an Illinois RN or LPN license. Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through American Red Cross or American Heart Association required upon hire.
