Gary Smith Honda in Fort Walton Beach, FL is seeking a full-time Automotive Title Clerk in the accounting office. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, reliable and a dependable team-player. Automotive Title Clerk Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Processes paperwork for new and used vehicle sales as it relates to Financial Institutions
• Processes all new and used vehicles for registration in the state in which they will be titled
• Prepares tax and title documents
• Submits all legal transfer work to the Department of Motor Vehicles
• Verifies that funds have been collected and the correct lien holder paid off before processing title applications
• Checks for accuracy in the application and ensures that all information is complete
• Prepares payoff checks for new vehicles and trade-ins
• Cover the receptionist and cashier desks as necessary
• Other duties as assigned

Automotive Title Clerk Qualifications:

• 1 years of tag and title clerk experience strongly preferred
• Knowledge of Reynolds and Reynolds DMS experience preferred
• Understanding and knowledge of basic accounting principles preferred: ex: credits, debits and account normal balance
• Automotive Dealership accounting knowledge and/or experience strongly preferred
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows based programs required
• Strong ability to problem solve
• Excellent time management skills
• Good communication skills
• Highly organized
• Ability to multi-task under pressure in a busy and fast-paced office environment
• Must be able to meet established deadlines
• We are a drug free work place. All candidates must successfully pass a drug screen to be eligible for employment.

Schedule Requirements:

• Monday – Friday from 8:30 am – 5:30 pm, plus occasional over-time including nights and weekends due to business needs.
• Must be available at all month-end closings

Rate of pay to be negotiated and depending on experience.
