Position Details

Edwardsburg Public Schools a National Blue Ribbon district is accepting applications for a dynamic, energetic High School Business Education Teacher who maintains a positive learning environment, effectively holds high academic expectations, creates a student-centered classroom while building rapport with students, parents, and staff.

Coaching options may be available.

QUALIFICATIONS :

The person selected for this position will be the one who offers the best combination of training, experience, and attributes in accordance with the following :

  • Must meet State of Michigan Certification requirements to teach Business Education GQ, GX and / or VB Required; Successful experience as a secondary teacher, student teacher, or substitute
  • Knowledge of scope and sequence of curriculum.
  • Ability to recognize and respond to individual differences.
  • Good interpersonal and classroom management skills.
  • Demonstrated interest in personal professional development.
  • Experience as a collaborative team participant.
  • Complete (at applicant’s expense) State-mandated Criminal Background Check.

DUTIES :

  • Plan and deliver the Michigan Academic Standards using evidence-based instructional strategies
  • Provide and maintain an orderly classroom environment
  • Possess a working knowledge of formative and summative assessment strategies that align with the Michigan Academic Standards and can be used to monitor student achievement and growth
  • Work independently and cooperatively in all aspects of the job
  • Perform other duties as assigned by administrator
  • Experience with Google Classroom a plus
