Provide fast, efficient, and friendly service at the bar while displaying an outstanding passion for and knowledge of craft beer.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Promote, work, and act in a manner consistent with the mission of Frankenmuth Brewery: DELIVER A GREAT EXPERIENCE TO GUESTS

· Engage guests in discussions about craft beer, preparation methods, flavor profiles, and ingredients, and make recommendations based on guest preferences.

· Suggest menu items to compliment guests’ beverages.

· Serve guests in a prompt and courteous manner.

· Respond to guest complaints, taking appropriate actions to turn dissatisfied guests into return guests.

· Create a safe and legal environment by complying with all Company policies and procedures regarding the service of alcohol, including requesting identification, refusing to serve clients who are intoxicated, and notifying management of any alcohol-related issues.

· Process guest payments in a timely and accurate manner.

· Maintain an accurate cash drawer and credit card processing procedure throughout shift.

· Execute Brewery opening and closing procedures, depending on shift.

· Upkeep of bar area and workstations in accordance with the Brewery’s policies and local health department guidelines.

· Change kegs as needed and keep bar stocked with appropriate inventory.

· Maintain knowledge of and perform all safety and sanitation procedures.

· Perform alcohol inventories to maintain proper inventory levels.

· Perform additional duties as requested by managers or supervisors.

Requirements and Qualifications:

· Must be at least 18 years of age.

· Previous bartending experience preferred, but not required.

· ServSafe certification or ability to become certified.

· Have knowledge of craft beer and display a passion for ongoing beer training.

· Understanding and ability to utilize applicable restaurant technology and systems, including: computers and programs (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); point-of-sale terminals, software and workstations (Aloha Point-of-Sale); calendar and scheduling software (Hot Schedules); database user interface and query software (Optimum Control); inventory management software (Aloha POS; Optimum Control); guest Seating/Reservations Software (DineTime).

· Excellent people skills and outgoing personality.

· Availability to work weekends and holidays.

· Must be comfortable and confident working in a fast-paced environment.

· Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.

· Must be able to balance and carry multiple beverage items.

· Must be able to stand, walk, lift, and bend for long periods of time.
