The Early Learning Center is searching for an energetic, dedicated individual to join our childcare team! We currently have one opening for an Assistant Teacher position in our Preschool Room (2 1/2 years - 5 years)

Job Classification: Hourly, Full-Time

Compensation: $15 per hour

Work Schedule: 7:00am - 4:00pm

Reporting Relationship: Early Learning Center Director

Primary Accountability:

Assist in planning and implementing developmentally appropriate daily activities in assigned classroom that corresponds with center themes and program philosophy. Lesson plans should include gross-motor skills, fine-motor skills, literacy, identification, and emotional/mental growth activities along with others defined by Center Director. Provide safe, stimulating, creative environment for children and actively engage in daily routine and activities with children. Assist in developing and maintaining positive, effective, appropriate relationships with children and families.

Requirements:

*High School Diploma or GED required.

*Associate or Bachelor degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field preferred.

*Minimum 1 years' experience in a licensed childcare center.

*Certification in Childhood Illness, Child Abuse and Neglect, CPR and First Aid required within 30 days of employment.

*Negative TB test and health assessment current within 2 years.

*Demonstrated communication, teamwork, customer service, relationship development, organization, and interpersonal skills.

Physical Demands:

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Daily duties require employees to sit, squat, and engage actively with children. Staff should be able to do this free from discomfort or difficulty.
